Human rights are something that our mankind should stand behind, and I mean it. All civilizations are built based on cultural traits that have been shaped throughout generations based mostly on our geographical locations. 
However, globalization allowed populations worldwide to become a part of every region, hence some aspects, previously unknown, or more likely ignored by more developed civilizations, became more visible & addressable.
Advertising agencies globally decided to take the challenge & raise awareness of topics that have been not discussed before. Many would say that their actions are not trustworthy or done just for PR purposes.
Ok. Think what you want! As long as you talk about it, you raise the awareness and this is how the success of the campaign will be judged.
